The general
The multiple use possibilities of armored off-road vehicles cannot be fulfilled simultaneously with a vehicle on four wheels if one wants to avoid too high a total weight of the car. For this reason, two different types of superstructures have been designed for the chassis of the off-road truck of the company Auto-Union A.G., Horch Type 801, which are complementary and together suitable for solving all tasks which are set in tactical relation to armored off-road vehicles. The total weight of each of the two constructions remains below 4 tons, so that each wheel is loaded with only one ton. The two different types are:
I. The 1st MG off-road armored vehicle with FT equipment
II. The 1st MG off-road armored vehicle without FT equipment.
